Invitation for Feedback
1. The Minister for Finance, Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, delivered the Budget Speech for the Financial Year 2008 in Parliament on Friday, 15 February 2008. We welcome your feedback on Budget 2008, including your views on our outreach efforts.
Background
2. The Budget serves as the mandate for the Government’s financing priorities based on estimated Government revenue. It is prepared on a financial year (FY) basis, with FY2008 running from 1 April 2008 to 31 March 2009.

3. The Ministry of Finance has sought to reach out to the public on Budget 2008 through the feedback exercise, youth engagement activities and communication of key Budget initiatives. We welcome your views on the effectiveness of our Budget outreach efforts and how we can do better.
Submitting your Feedback
4. Please identify yourself and the organisation you represent (if any) so that we can contact you for clarifications if necessary.
5. Your feedback can be submitted in any of the four official languages. However, feedback received by SMS is limited to alphanumeric and Chinese characters only.
6. Your feedback is important to us. Where appropriate, the Ministry of Finance will forward your comments to the relevant agencies for consideration.

to send in their feedback via the Budget
2008 online feedback portal. Using the online feedback
portal is the easiest and quickest way for your feedback to
receive attention.
8. SMS Feedback. You can also SMS your views to REACH with your mobile phone following this format - <Your Feedback> to 9-Speak-Up (9-77325-87). Users are encouraged to keep to a 1000-character limit for English text and 70-character limit for Chinese text, including the spaces in the text of the SMS. Normal SMS charges apply.
