Supporting Families

Budget 2017 provides support for families in the areas of housing and education. Families will benefit from measures such as the increase in CPF Housing Grant and bursary amounts for post-secondary education institutions.

To build an inclusive society, Budget 2017 will provide support for Persons with Disabilities and people with mental health conditions. Additional grants have also been set aside for self-helps groups and community sports to strengthen community bonds.


A sustainable fiscal system

The Government will continue to spend judiciously, emphasise value-for-money and drive innovation in delivery so that we can do better and more with less. To continue support for economic development and enhance quality of life, revenue will be raised through new taxes, such as the Additional Registration Fee for Motorcycles.
